Good to hear. Honestly, I've always asserted that the design of Fire Emblem SHOULD have always resulted in technical showpieces. Hopefully the graphics are as good as they implied in an earlier interview.

Yeah agreed, Nintendo could really use a visual showpiece that isn't a candy-coloured cartoon. A Fire Emblem in the aesthetic vein of something like The Last Story just with high-end-Switch-tier tech would be awesome. I mean, I'm not holding my breath for that to happen, but it'd be cool if it did.

Well that doesn't seem to be what they mean. They're referencing the fact that the character models in Echoes are much more properly proportioned than in past games where they were a bit stubby. I would still anticipate some sort of anime-esque design. But even if they jsut went straight Echoes it would be a good style.

Oh I was going a bit off from what they said and referring more to the "make it a showcase" angle more than the porpotions thing.

Oh definitely, Echoes is one of Nintendo's prettiest games even to this day, especially with that 60 fps. ...we're talking about the same Echoes, right? |
Metroid Prime 2 is one of Nintendo's most beautiful games even today, agreed.
Took me awhile but I finally did it!
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I think it's that or they go with a style like Fire Emblem Warriors but obviously higher quality since they don't have to deal with hordes of enemies.
Either would be fine with me, but just looking at vids of cutscenes, I think I do prefer Echoes.

I'm not a Sonic fan, so this will be one of my hardest challenges to accomplish. I only got 2 gems. The level design is just putting me off. Not because of the artistic style, but rather that I have no fucking clue where I am going and still end up on the end of the stage somehow. I just randomly walk into pipes and what not and jump and fly around. It's my main issue why I never can to fully enjoy a sonic game.

Congrats, you can now break the game!
There's a weird glitch that sometimes happens though, where if you have a shield you can't go Super until you lose the shield. A slight annoyance but not a big deal.
EDIT: Actually that might just be how it works, though I swear I was able to activate it while I had a shield before.
