So my plan was to pick up a GameCube adapter and controllers for the switch for split screen games, but I just realised it'd be missing a button... ZL...

Does anyone have experience using them? What multiplayer games can they not be used with? It wouldn't be an issue if you could remap buttons but I don't think you can.

Twitter user Pixelpar is claiming a November/December release date for Pokemon Switch. Yes, that seems like an obvious bet (assuming the game is still on track for 2018), but they've also claimed that Pokemon Switch began localization in February of this year:

Who is is Pixelpar? And how reliable are they?

I woukd have to research that but I have seen this gaining traction a lot more than 99% of Pokemon leaks.  And I hear there's LinkedIn info pointing to this being legit.

Personally I buy it.  I suspect Nintendo and Pokemon Company will follow a similar pattern with the Switch as with 3DS.  The first game will be a pronounced and significant graphicak jump but not as big of a jump as the hardware could allow.  It will be the second main entry that pushes the boat out in presentation.  So I can see the first one coming out this year.

Oh okay. That is good news. I always expected it to release in 2018 (since idk when was the last Pokemon game to come out in early of the year, and it just makes sense for Nintendo to not leave 2018 that empty)

They got a bunch of stuff to do with the Spyro remake correct, but beyond that I honestly don't know - I mainly posted their tweet because I've seen this news gain traction on a few websites.

I think South Park releases on eShop this week.

Well, Battlezone Gold Edition is coming to the Switch. That's unexpected.

Does make me wonder what is up with this summer? Is it just me or does a lot of stuff seem to be coming starting in the second half of June? Mario Tennis, Octopath, Ys, Crash, Battlezone, Dark Souls, Wolfenstein (hopefully, if it comes out this fall it will get lost).

Octopath is July 13th :P

Like I said, summer.

Yeah, summer is really packed. I don't know if I can handle it...

I use GC controllers sometimes. Honestly, it is not recommended unless since a lot of Switch games make using it a little awkward. It is good for simple games like bomberman, puyo puyo tetris and maybe Rocket League. Honestly, you can use it with any game as long as you don't have to use ZL.

Anyway OT:
Why in the world is summer so packed? I would have liked it if those games were spread out over the year. Not jam-packed into three months. Not I have to pick and choose which games to buy and not buy.  I know this sounds like a first world problem but still. I want to play and finish these games before Smash comes out in September.  I can't do that if the games come all at the same time and only 3 months before that.
