Okay, just finished Splatoon 2. Final boss fight wasn't nearly as bad as I'd heard. I mean yeah it was kinda a rehash of the first game, but the climax with the rainmaker and the ink rails was awesome.

The problem isn't just that it is a rehash, but rather that it rehashes the original fight without bringing any of the stuff that made it great (namely, the level design). The original was great because the boss itself had a simple pattern, but one you had to deal with among attacks from other enemies, ever-changing environments and all other sorts of attacks - 2's final boss doesn't have any of that, it's just the simple pattern and that's it. Even the final bit, for as flashy and awesome as it is, really is all just style with no substance.

I suppose the difference between me (and I assume Curl) and you is that I was just looking for a good boss fight.  And I got that.  I was not holding a comparison sheet so as to measure every single element of 2 against 1 and dock points :P

Me and my friends have been doing a Metroid marathon and today's the last day, so we're starting our main event (which is Zero Mission, Samus Returns, Super and Fusion) now. I'll be playing ZM and hopefully be done with it in an hour. The stream is in portuguese, but we don't have to let some language barriers stop us from having fun together.

Maybe if it was Pokemon, but nah, its metroid... :P

I like Metroid but it's probably my least liked Nintendo series that I've played, so yeah, not interested sorry!

Can't say there isn't a lot of variety coming in with the Rare Blade designs.  Getting vibes of Persona/Shin Megami Tensei with how bizarre some can look.  Also find it crazy just how many artists they pulled in for them.  Takahashi must have some serious connections :P

Hoping there's a lot of Rare Blades, collecting them could be pretty cool.
