People forget that Niantic fucked up in so many ways to the point where even a five year old seemed more fit to run Pokemon Go. Imagine if they didn't have so many screw ups

How can people forget when it's still happening to this day? Even now playing it, there are problems I come across and often feel how rather imcompetent Niantic looks when it comes to PoGo.

I'll admit that I'm a daily player. The people around me still play. What surprises me is that 60 million number, which is down from a 100 million peak last August. If you live on the Internet (like us Millennials do) and listened to the vitriol, you'd expect that number to be much, much, much lower.

Its even more incredible if you consider Lamborghini has announced they sold 8000 Huracans.

Each Huracan costs around 250000. So lamborghini earned 2 Billion with their best selling car in 3 years.

While Nintendo earned 1.2 Billion in 1 year with an app. Pretty sure the profit margin is also much higher than on a Huracan.

Well no, Nintendo didn't get all the money from Pokemon Go. It goes to The Pokemon Company, which is partly owned by Nintendo (somewhere between a third and 50%).

Who owns the rest of it?

"app inteligence startup apptopia"... sure sounds reliable

Imagine had it not been trash, fun trash but trash nonetheless. Seems like its slowly headed in the right direction but majority of people are never going back to it so it doesn't matter now

Fantastic.

Hopefully this leads to more free to play games full of microtransactions. We love those, don't we? ;)

These numbers make zero sense to me. I still play it myself but long gone are the days that I would see people trying to catch pokemon in the streets. It feels like a drop of 90% if not more. How these numbers are accurate is beyond me. All my friends who used to play like crazy have stopped for about 8 months now. I know that's not evidence of anything, but it still seems weird.

I'm never going back. Soon as I learned that this game caters to city folk more than the suburbs and rural I was out. Not wasting my time.
