So are you saying that even if critics think a "PC game made for the platform" looks worse than a multiplat that is also made for the platform, they should just ignore the multiplat and give it to some other game?

I just gave it as an example of what was shown off this year that could have been chosen, but wasn't. 

I never said that. Obviously, of the nominated games, the critics that chose the winner thought Destiny 2 was the best one, so I guess they thought the other games looked worse. Should they ignore the game they liked the most, just because it was multiplat, is what I'm asking (for the second time now)?

We don't even know if they actually looked into the other titles shown off at PC E3 to make the choice. There were other games shown like the new Xcom expansion, Mech Warrior, AoE remake etc, none of which were given any indication to having been in their list to choose from, so in essence we wouldn't know under which criteria they chose Destiny 2 for PC as. I don't think it was purely "best looking vs fugly as sin" category.

When I said looks best, I didn't mean graphics lol... I mean as in, which game looks like the best game. Exactly what criteria each specific reviewer judges to decide what game they think looks like the better game (overall), I obviously can't tell you.

This E3 sucked, The fact that Mario Odyssey was the best thing there is proof of that.

Looking "best" can mean graphical looks, like it's art style and attention to detail for example.

The criteria that it was filed under just says "Best PC game" without any indication for looks or play/features.

I know we can't find out unless we ask them what criteria they used and what other games they looked at, but I know there are other games out there that would have been fit candidates for choosing.

And sure, we don't know for sure what the critics saw, but would you rather assume that they didn't consider any of those "PC games made for the platform" instead of them just preferring Destiny 2 over those?

I know, which was why I was saying before that there are other games out there that could have been decent choices as well, but it's made out to being a very slim picking list for what was chosen on PC if we go by what else was chosen.

Again I fail to see what is wrong with wanting a game more geared towards the platform let alone exclusive to it as being something inherently bad. "best console game" had an actual exclusive for a console being chosen for example, rather than every game within every category being entirely multiplat.

Just to make it clear, I don't loathe multiplats at all, I just heavily disagree with the choice made for the PC category, there were other fine choices out there that could have made it, yet they didn't and it was a shame that they didn't make it ebcause they are also other good games, especially seeing AoE remake or brand new Mech Warrior game.

The PC port of the game looks and plays very well.
