Hmm, I think Max Payne 2 on the PS2 was inferior to the XB and PC versions, I wonder if they'll do something about that.

Hey, you got Fire Emblem Musou! Hope you enjoy it. You a fan of musou games? Or did you get it because it's Fire Emblem? |
I like musô games and I adore Fire Emblem.
But enough off-topic, Sen III impressions now!
Graphics & animation aren't very good for a PS4 exclusive, but on close-ups you can see they made some clear improvements on characters' faces, clothing & stuff. So it's not that disappointing in fact.
Played 6 hours. The prologue & 1st chapters are very good : storytelling has a good pace and dialogs are absolutely cool. As expected Sen III has a deep and rich universe, tons of characters, side stuff to explore. It's already a pleasure to wander about.
and Dengeki has been providing the usual swimsuits XD
In short, really really excited to go on but I still have some writing to do before I can be on it 100% of my leisure time.

Amazing. LCS and VCS are day one buys for me, VCS being my favourite GTA game! I always wondered why they never ported them to PS3, glasd they are coming to PS4 now.

Hey I remember you long time ago saying you hasd really few games on PS4. Have you played more exclusives since?
If you have PS Plus, I think you should definitely download Infamous Second Son, its fantastic.

First party wise I have played Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Order: 1886, Infamous: Second Son, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy so far. I have Infamous: First Light and Until Dawn as well, but haven't played them yet. |
I'm curious about your opinion on each of them :)
Edit: Since I've played them all, I just want to see why some of these games that I find overrated are rated so highly by others, and others are underrated. So your opinion would help on that.

Horizon was pretty great. I really liked the world they built and Aloy is a great character, but it was held back by some repetitiveness. 90/100. The Order had potential, but was too short, too repetitive, and had some storytelling issues. Good enough I would play a sequel if they ever make one, especially if it seems like they fix some of my issues with the first game. 70/100 Infamous: Second Son was alright but I wasn't really blown away by it. The traversal mechanics didn't work as well as I'd like, and it felt kind of repetitive after awhile. Good characters though. 80/100 Uncharted 1, 2, and 3 were all pretty good. I didn't think Uncharted 2 was as good as most people do story wise, while 3 had some serious shooting mechanic issues, and all 3 had some platforming issues, but all 3 are still good games. All 3 fall in between an 84-88 for me I'd say. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was probably my favorite game in the series so far. It fixed some of my issues with the series and had a really great villain. 9/10 You can read my full review here. |
I agree with you more than I agree with most. Well that's something!
I do think Infamous Second Son is the second coming of the gaming overlords, and Uncharted I favour a lot less than you do, but else I can agree on all! I haven't played Lost Legacy though.
Have you played Bloodborne? If not you're missing the best PS4 exclusive.

No, I have not. I'm scared off by the high level of difficulty. My first Souls-like will probably be the upcoming Code Vein (which seems to be a bit easier than other Souls-likes thanks to the companion system). Depending on how that goes, I may try Bloodborne and Nioh as well. |
I have Dark Souls 1, 2 3 and Bloodborne, but still have yet to play them!!
