Visceral Studios (Dead Space franchise, Battlefield Hardline and an upcoming Star Wars game) is being shut down. The Star Wars game will be developed from teams across EA Worldwide Studios, with EA Vancouver as lead developer. The game has also been delayed into FY2020 (or later). https://www.ea.com/news/an-update-on-the-visceral-star-wars-project

I am so pissed at EA. It reads like they're forcing multiplayer into it, and Amy Hennig and her team at Visceral weren't happy with that so they're just shutting Visceral down and transfering the game to another studio. I'll be surprised if Amy Hennig doesn't end up leaving EA over this. 

The delay is downright painful considering this game has been in development since mid-2013. 

Isn't God of War 3 director Stig also there but yeah F EA they also ruin the Dead Space series with forcing multiplayer, micro transactions and co-op to a freaking single player horror action game.

 

So yeah EA does have a history with middling in with the studios work.

Wish The Frozen Wilds would come out next year. Too many games for me to even consider picking up an expansion for a good game

Yeah, Stig is working on the Respawn developed 3rd person action-adventure Star Wars game (supposedly a lightsaber combat based game). That one is still fine, for now. However, considering EA's wording on this one, it sounds like they aren't happy with singleplayer-only games anymore and wanted to force multiplayer and microtransactions into Amy Hennig's Star Wars game, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same to Stig's game next, and if he refuses like Amy most likely did, they will probably get rid of his team at Respawn as well and transfer that game to another studio who will play ball with them. *sigh* 

Well gow Ascension did had a pretty good multiplayer  and was very fun for a while but Fk EA will probably ruining it with lootbox and macrotranactions.
