I think we all can asume that nintendo doesnt make many bad games, as others companies do, but saying that never has made a bad game, is taking it a little to far...

Nintendo is also the most risk averse first party, the amount of new IPs Nintendo funds is emabarrasingly low.
They keep making games with the brand names that give them nostalgia points in reviews. Even when the game are bad or subpar, take BOTW for example.

They have developed many new IPs, just not all of them are AAA. Should they all be AAA? No, they don't have to.
Edit: I was gonna make a list of new IPs developed by Nintendo but apparently that has already been made, though a few may have been left out. Regardless, I didn't want to be repetitive. I'm sure you can look at the list and/or do your research.
And I'm glad you know how much effort they put in each of their respective new IPs. You probably have played all of these new IPs so you must have insight on how much effort was put in these games :P. I don't care if you don't care for any of these new IPs, buy don't make it sound like its a fact that they are low in investment or "cheap ass" as you like to put it. I'm sure Mr. Yabuki, the developer of ARMS and Mario Kart, Mr. Amano, the developer of Splatoon and Animal Crossing, and others appreciate that.
And I detest this nostalgia excuse. Why do you think Nintendo have continued making Zelda, Mario, Yoshi, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, etc. over their 30+ year history? Because fans love these games! It's not just nostalgia. Heck, not every game goes back to the past in terms of gameplay. Heck Kirby has been known for being an experimental IP along with the typical 2D platforming. Pretty much most of their games have garnered positive reception. Sure you could say the New SMB series is basically the same game with different features, but I dare you to say 3D World, Sunshine, 64, and Galaxy are the "same 3D Mario game." Plus, Mario Kart and Smash Bros. are usually made once per generation other than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and, presumably Smash 4 Deluxe, and yet each new iteration has new features, characters, and gameplay elements.
And while I'll respect your opinion on Zelda BoTW being "bad or subpar," apparently you are in the minority. Regardless of nostalgia or not, BoTW has garned critical praise from a variety of outlets. It was a game that went away from the conventions of 3D Zelda while maintaining it's identity as a Zelda game and utilizing influence from the original Zelda, and it has worked out well for Nintendo, selling really well and continuing to garner critical praise. Why use nostalgia as an excuse for its success? That's "cheap ass" if you ask me. Not everyone that has played and praised BoTW have played the original Zelda.
