Even if one person were to purchase it, I still can't see that happening without the community funding it through crowdfunding. But a lot of private ventures are crowdfunded nevertheless, so that's not the most unreasonable thing to happen. Just depends on if people are willing to put up money for someone to buy the site with the intent of making more money off of it.

Re: Topic - lol the ads on this site. They are awful. I used this site without adblock once and never will again. That said, even if this site only made $1000 a month, I'm sure ioi would hold onto it because it's literally no work money. He tells other people to do stuff and reaps the profits. He is less a boss and more a leech at this point who has no reason to let go of the host.

I only use this site on my computer so ads are not a problem for me, but if it's bothersome for people browsing on their phones and it's really needed I wouldn't mind supporting this. I would get into the "supporter system" but I don't feel like the current owner deserves anything at all from me or anyone

If everyone stopped watching the adverts, the value of the website would decrease drastically as revenues would decline, which should make it's purchase cheaper. ;)

How about doing a fundraiser to simply pay the owner to eliminate the pop-up ads?
