With no GTA VI or TES VI on the horizon can we safely assume that no game this generation will surpass GTA V as the best selling PS4 game? It will easily hit 18 million copies sold this year and lifetime maybe 22 million. Will the remastered game from 2013 end up being the best selling game this gen?
Nope GTA 5 was bought by people who had it on PS3 and it will remain a game desired by people for a few years still.
It'd actually be pretty impressive if nothing surpassed it, as that'd mean that it'd be the best-selling game for 2 consecutive PS generations.
Only game that can surpass it is gta 6. And I'm sure we will see gta 6 on the ps4 and xbox one.

Fun fact: Every PS console except the original PS had GTA as their best selling game.

Thats why i said console instead of handheld. Although Vita is still qualify if you count the PS TV though.

If Sony were to bundle the same game with the console for 2-3 years, *and* the game sold well individually, it could outsell GTA5. I seriously doubt this will happen though, as bundles don't stay the same for more than about 12 months.
Interestingly, I just purchsed GTA5 for PS4 a couple of days ago. I was planning to purchase for XB1, but that version was out of stock.
