He does all kinds of completely different genres. He also made covers of Sail, Feel Good Inc., Californication, Genie in a Bottle... He even covered Closer by the Chainsmokers!

I've never really listened to metal covers of non-metal songs myself, but I'll check some of them out!

They sound like alternative metal to me, the second one possibly being considered to metalcore too. Anyways, I'll list some of my favourite Japanese songs myself!

You are correct and that I liked the last one best. #3 is good too.

And the band that I linked actually has a few different styles and their lyrics are always quite odd.
