Forums - Nintendo - Possibly big problem with Yoshi's "two sides" mechanic

Maybe I'm just missing something, but this really bugs me.

Watching the Treehouse stream, it seems that in single player, you can't switch sides at will, and have to replay the whole level to see the other side.

That just seems incredibly tedious and annoying, to have to memorise what was on the other side and play the same stage multiple times instead of just switching back and forth dynamically.

Thoughts?

Around the Network

I admit I don't quite get why that's "locked" in MP mode, at least for what I've seen in the Treehouse. But I still think it's cool to pay attention the first time you beat a level, and then acting accordingly when you play the "flipped" version. You have to really pay attention to the details, and I think that adds another layer of complexity to the game.

Though, tbh, I prefer it to be in SP too. They can still change their minds though, it's still far from release.

Yup, saw this, too. Unless the level won't drastically change by playing it from the other side, it can become quite tedious to run through it again.
