Forums - Gaming - Final Fantasy XV’s New DLC Episode Is Basically Metal Gear Prompto also off road Regalia

Final Fantasy XV is getting its latest DLC episode story that revolves around Prompto Argentum in his own story that features a different third-person shooter style of gameplay.

Here’s a look at some footage that was showcased via Square Enix Presents at E3 2017. The story takes place in a certain part of Final Fantasy XV when Prompto leaves the group, and this fills the little gap of time from Prompto’s perspective.

It features its own different style of gameplay, where Prompto will infiltrate a building and sneak around. While he can shoot enemies down, he’ll also get to stealth-takedown enemies Solid Snake-style.

Final Fantasy XV is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Episode Prompto launches on June 27, 2017.

Also coming the same day is the off road Regalia, along with Regalia mini games.

I just finished looking at this about 15 minutes ago; doesn't click with me at all. Umm ... I am not interested in this. Final Fantasy is a premier Japanese role playing game and I'm not interested in Final Fantasy as anything else. I encourage experimentation within grounds of being a RPG and this episode is pushing it.

Did anybody ask for this is my sentiment right now.

Goddammit Square.Be done with this game and move along to other games.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Since the episodes for both Gladiolus and Prompto seem to take place in situations where they were absent from the main game, I have a pretty strong hunch I know which situation Ignis's episode is going to take place in...

I love FFXV OG the way it is, but it almost seems like it has more value without these episodes..honestly they should have just made the episodes purely story based..even if just cut scenes minus any gameplay. There's no point in playing episode Gladioulus again after the first time (twas both short, boring and we learned nothing of value, we already knew Cor was a badass) and even the free update to seeing what happens with Chapter 13 verse 2 is so short and insignificant there's no point in going through that again either.

The sense of mystery minus verse 2 in Chapter 13 was at least there to have your mind wander.

The shooter gameplay probably won't be utilized as an option inside the main game anyways. If not, there's no point in these jarring gameplay segments.
