I think eventually Sony wanted to get closer to release with their announcements. If you're going to do that, you HAVE to have one conference where there isn't a ton of new stuff. I think this E3 was that. In 6 months they have PSX and maybe they have to do it again or maybe they'll be close enough to release that they can throw some new stuff out. Maybe they'll show a CG TLoU trailer or something.

And I actually enjoyed the show.  I'm much more sold on GoW than I was before this and I loved the Horizon DLC tease.  And of course Spiderman looks awesome!

I agree. PSX is getting bigger and bigger so it makes sense for Sony to want more press coverage during that event than during a time where all publishers get coverage.

Exactly. Anyone who thinks this e3 was it for Sony does not know Sony. E3 was it for Microsoft. Nintendo even has other directs.

Yeah, it seems like it's heading towards that way. I wonder if they're trying to abandon E3 all together.
