Naah, gears2 is just another FPS, and is nowhere near another Halo3

do you really beleive the 250,000 peopel that buy ps3's every month in the us, only buy it for blu ray? are you fucking kidding me? have you seen software chartz? thats like saying everyone bought the ps2 as a dvd player, which is very very false.

The BD advantage is going to give Sony the lead just like the DVD gave it to the PS2. heck, even if the next MS console does have a BD drive, they are going to have to pay Sony for the right to put it in their console, so its probably going to be a bit overpriced for what it offers.

The next console isn't going to be that great anyway, with MS's gimmik (and all consoles are gimmiky nothing against MS gaming) being HD-downloads. Oh wow, Your console can hold 2-3 HD movies before it runs out of space on the hard drive. And even then, the downloads are going to be more expensive than what Sony, a movie company, can offer the downloads for. So, what advantage will it have? Sony will be able to price MS's next console right out of the stores with both the downloads and the hardware so consider 2008 the dramatic rebirth of sony's gaming.

i just hope all the hyped up ps3 games dont end up to be Lair's ROFL.

 So then we should be comparing MGS4 and Fable 2 for system selling potential, and then R2 to GeOW2?   If we want to compare them all based on how well we think they'll do.  That's an interesting take on things, I always see GeOW2 and MGS4 being compared.

Well people often forget that an awesome game wont always be a system seller. For example, I believe that Banjo Kazooie and Fable 2 will each push more systems than GeoW 2.

I also think that (if it turns out to be as good as Sony claims it is) LBP could sell more than R2 and K2 combined.

But at the end of the day, it's all speculation.
