Forums - Gaming - ARK Dev: XB1X Is Like a PC with GTX 1070 & 16GB RAM; Game Runs at 1080P@60 while PS4 Pro Is 1080P@30

I'm calling the police....

That's precisely what i figured from the onset.

Said it would be like a 1070/980Ti all along while peeps were arguing with me on the contrary.

Plenty for 4K30 with rich visual quality  in the majority of instances  not named Ark.

That's why the 980Ti is getting sold off now, and i'll wait until Volta for a proper PC upgrade. Hoping by then the 1180/70 cards can do 4K 60+ Ultra consistently.

PC I i7 3770K @4.5Ghz I 16GB 2400Mhz I GTX 980Ti FTW

Consoles I PS4 Pro I Xbox One S 2TB I Wii U I Xbox 360 S

prediction: Ark will run like shit on X1X. Just like on any other platform.

Glad to see the X version won't be getting held back by the pro.

Oh dear lord it's the ARK DEV talking about performance.

But GTX 1070 sounds about right, what pitiful resolution/fps they get out of their terribly optimised game doesn't interest me.

It's an AMD based GPU in Scorpio. It's going to be shit when compared to nVidia.

Scorpio is most certainly faster than a Radeon RX 480/580, due to the extra 70GB/s of bandwidth, more ROPS and TMU's, albeit lower compute performance when compared to the 580.

Would it match a Geforce 1070? Hell no. That's a good 50% to twice as fast than the RX 480 in most benchmarks, if not more, no way is Scorpio bridging that massive performance delta.

ARK is a peice of sh*t horribly optimised game.

And that is being polite.

Exactly! That's the great thing about going to 16nm process, the power requirement comes down so far

It's not a true 16nm process. Don't let the bullshit marketing fool you.

Nope, the devs and parts of the hardware will make sure the X version will be getting held back.

A 1070?

That's some high praise. XD
