I haven't seen any combination of character models that look better in XC2 than the ones in XCX.

Didn't they want to accomplish a game with a stronger emphasis on story than XCX? Because that pretty much kills the idea of having a seamless sandbox.

Well the ambition of the Xenoblade series was never its story, Takahashi even said so himself in tbe XC Iwata Asks. My point remains the ambition seen in the series in prior installments is lacking here.

characters was always been ugly in xenoblade, but i really love the battle system.
Ill probably support any xenoblade they make, as long they keep this battle system.

X characters looked way too realistic for an anime themed game. Taking anime characters and trying to render them to real life looks as ridiculous as the cover of that old PS1 DragonQuest Spinoff. X was too big for it's own good, and just felt like a bloated game (I still liked X BTW). This game seems more focused on style, and having a tight knit world, than being a big epic open world.

Just got home from work and just started watching this.

The game looks good and far along. And the visuals are much better than X in certain ways (lighting especially.) In others they are comparable (LOD, textures, geometry, etc.) I like the character art-style better than X's though.

What I find funny is that you will have the same people complaining about the female characters assets in the game, be the same ones bitching when NOA censors the game in some way.

I also find it amusing that every single time a new Xenoblade trailer comes out it is nonstop bitching by some people about how horrible the game looks, and say it looked better last game. So much hate on last games characters faces and yet now you guys want those faces back? Reminds me of Zelda games being hated on until the next game comes out.
