Forums - Nintendo - Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Launches Switch on August 29.

Looks amazing and really promising.

My issue with this is Ubisoft itself, this could easily be a cheap IP cash grab with simplistic design and no depth.
But it could also be a great game if work was put into it.

I am otimistic since I believe not even Ubisoft would be 100% casual about working with the Mario IP, I believe that (and maybe Nintendo themselves) could make Ubisoft at least try for real this time.

Did you watch the gameplay, or just the trailer?

They been working on this for 3 years btw. So it's not a quick cash grab.

Anyone else see a lot of people mentioning Codename S.T.E.A.M when they talk about this game? I'm seeing people do that now....

That and Valkyria Chronicles was what came to my mind. Even after the leaks I was still hoping for traditional RPG but what we have looks alright, the gameplay isn't immediately grabbing me though. This will certainly be better than anything else the Rabbids have been involved with that's for sure!

This looks so much better than it had any right to. I mean it's still Ubi so I'll take the expectations with hesitation, but this might actually be worthwhile.

Ubisoft didn't deserve to get the rub from the Mario IP, but it still looks like it could be good.

A pretty rare sight for Mario to have a gun, too. They wanted to give him one all the way back in Super Mario Bros.

I have to say, while I'm very optimistic about the game after the official reveal, the leaked marketing for it did everything it could to make me brace myself for something horrible.

I think Ubi made a good job in merge both worlds and give them that characteristic Nintendo touch. Game looks phenomenal.

I'm interested

I'm honestly impressed by this game, looks fun. Also, is it just me or it looks better than Super Mario Odyssey, graphically speaking? Looking pretty sharp and the lighting is great too, hopefully the actual game is like that and it's not just bullshots.

I think Odyssey is going to be looking significantly better when we see it tomorrow than our last trailer. Some of the textures in the trailer were celarly placeholders. And besides, mainline Mario has almost always been a graphical showcase for its system (with the big exception being Sunshine).
