most games are on PC via PS now

In this case it actually makes sense - MS is not interested in being a video game developer/publisher. They treat XBOX as a service/outlet for other services. It would be in MS favor to just license out IP's to those actual developers willing to make them.

In a few years I doubt MS will exist in the video game industry as they are now... Actually as they were before. They will probably be like steam/ios/apple store. Its where they want to be.

Miguel, isn't the 4th gen your favourite? It seems like you'd be fine with older games too!

I'd like to see them let Nintendo take over the XBox brand and run it, but I doubt MS would agree just yet, they sell too many systems. They would need a real flop, and XBox One isn't that.

Offer the brand to Nintendo, keep a cut of licensing fees and XBox Live fees, continue to make Halo and Forza and Killer Instinct games for it. Let Nintendo run/distribute it going forward, MS Games can remain and make 2nd party games under Nintendo's direction.

Maybe. Just make games for the other consoles and pc. It would probably be a nice profit for ms.
