Forums - Gaming - E3 - What do you think your assessment of each of the big press conferences will be?

Well... it's hard to predict but why not...

Sony, will probably be a 6 or 7/10 for me. In general, I'm not too big on their first party stuff, but they usually have one or two titles that Pique my interest. I'm a huge Spider-man fan, so there is the potential for that to steal the show if it's a great game. They'll likely have the best third party showing, but I just haven't been digging what third parties have been doing this gen, so that doesn't do much for me.

My main problem with Sony's conferences is that the presentation itself usually sucks. It's generally dry and they don't have particularly charismatic execs or spokespeople. I know he did an ad for Mario Kart, but they really should just have Kevin Butler host the presentation.

Microsoft- 5/10. I'm still on a 720p TV right now, so the Scorpio isn't all that interesting to me, and that should be their main focus. They usually have some good indie stuff, but rarely have they had a major title that really excited me. Maybe if Hololens shows up in a way more interesting form than last time I'd be interested.

Nintendo- 7-8/10. Each year I get really excited... and I've pretty much been disappointed for half a decade. It's hard not to get hyped with the Switch doing well, but Nintendo doesn't tend to debut a lot of titles in advance, and even less with directs being a thing. Still, they are showing a sequel to three of my all time favorite games (64/Galaxy/Galaxy 2) so at the very least that should get me excited.

Hmm. I think if nintendo showed just one game, nintendo fans would say nintendo won E3 no matter what the game was. So they'll likely get a 10/10.

Nintendo is going to show Mario Odyssey, so I agree.

I watched a trailer of Mario same ol' sh*t. Yeah, it looks like something nintendo fans would drool over. I might buy a copy for my 7 year old nephew if my brothers buy him a switch any time soon.

My rating for todays conference: 8/10 for content and pacing (it was pretty nicely done), but i think it still lacked exclusives that would push the new console. TrueExclusives.

Sea of Thieves, looked pretty good, but its MP (so not fussed).
Cuphead, looks great, but its not console buying level
Ori looked beatiful, but again not console buying level
Crackdown looked truly awful in terms of trailer and doesnt look finished/ready at all, wow shocking.

Other stuff:

Metro looked really good
AC - looked poor, same gameplay, giant snake (wtf), and awful colour palette, I want more historical and not fantastical
Anthem - Looked georgious, but mp destiny type game (not my thing)
