this is EXACTLY like giana sisters, which was a top 10 game for me on wii-u. everything about it looks the same, just a bubsy skin, which doesn't really bother me. should be good.

Yes, we are living in a time where Giana Sisters is the original game and somebody else is the obvious clone.

I played a lot with Bubsy on my Genesis back then

I honestly thought people were just trolling all day, but it's actually real! I think they're making a mistake though, he's never talked about in a positive light, he's just a meme, not something people will take seriously and buy, but we'll see I guess.

The original games were nothing special, but they weren't horrible either. It's Bubsy 3D that really turned the shit-factor up.

That's what made it great. You had to learn and time everything perfectly to progress.

I think my favorite part about Bubsy (I had it on the SNES) was pretty much that it never took itself seriously, it was always tongue in cheek.
The Art was pretty decent back then too.

The voice actor in this reveal is terrible, music stays true to the classic... And it feels like gameplay has slowed down? Shame it's not coming to Xbox, Android, iOS and Switch either.

Pretty much spot-on. Having said that, they didn't hold my interest for long.
