Perspective is the key word here - it was made as iOS game and sold for $8. If you look at it that way, it's actually very decent.

I believe it was a windwaker clone done rather well actually especially for the platform it was released

I could see it for premium games like this, especially as the mobile market tumbles further down to the abyss of freemium. 

But freemium games with touch focused gameplay I think will keep their distance.  They've tried migrating to premium focused economies before and it traditionally goes very poorly.
