I sincerely doubt the $399 price tag. It's possible, but why would MS market this thing as a premium product, but lose money from it not having a premium price? There's no way they're dumb enough to think this will make a difference in the overall sales War, so why would they give it such an accessible price?

It will still be a Premium product at $399 because when it comes out the XB1S will be at $199 so its double the price.

Exactly, especially since it's doubtful that the pro will be $399 this holiday and has similar components save for a slightly bigger gpu, cooling and 4gb extra ram. If the ps4 can hit $249 with 8gb of similar ram and a 1tb hdd, I don't doubt Scorpio can get to $399 if MS wants it to. 

Boom, If this is true than the ps4 pro will have to be 299. Come on, who wants to buy a pro for 349.99 when you can get a beast of a console for 399 with a 4k drive.

I still think 399$ is optimistic... still if they do good on them.

Who wants to buy a weaker system (Xbox one OG) when they can buy the more powerful, popular, and most desired PS4 for 50 dollars more. And yet a mere 50 dollars caused it to outsell ps4 during the temporary panic price cut of 2014.  Almost cutting the gap between the two consoles within just 2 months. The same will happen here. A 350 pro could do major damage. Don't underestimate the brand right now. 

If this is true then Scorpio is day-1 for me!

Sony wont drop the pro under $349

I'm primarily a PS guy, but that 6>4 hidden msg is pretty funny. A light jab at the competition ha.

The first theory on the release date seems very legit. The price theory is definitely interesting, but I'm not fully sold on its validity. And I would be pretty surprised if Scorpio released for <$450, unless they'll be taking a loss. I've heard many people, but specifically a few in the business of computer components/hardware, state that $400 is highly unlikely and rather $500 will be the likely price point, based on the components. But, at the same time, I think $500 will make things very difficult for Scorpio to sell well, so MS would be much wiser to release Scorpio for as close to $400 as possible. 

Dont want to get my hopes up, but if true, I called it long ago while everyone else said I was wrong.
