Ps4 is getting treated like a king by FF this gen. FFIV online, FF7 original pc port with trophies, FFXV, FF12 remastered, Dissidia FF, world of FF, FFX/X-2 and FF7R. Great to see this officially announced.

I'd love Seymour to be playable, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to happen. Never played this series because they were strictly on handhelds, so I might give it a go on PS4, even though I am not really a fan of whatever the gameplay seems to be.

Well there's this quote from an interview with Siloconera:

Next is about a quote from Kujiraoka. You previously mentioned “We’ve picked about 50 characters” [for Dissidia Final Fantasy]

Kujiraoka: "That’s something that was said and came with some repercussions, but that was just about characters that we’ve picked! However, we were currently able to release 20 characters. Although even when we released 6 characters in a year, there are many that still say “it’s not enough.” [laughs]"

So, we might get more characters down the line if the developer wants to hit 50 characters.

If they are announcing this before e3 imagine what they must have for the conference.

I don't think it was 2015. It may have been 2014 or 2016. Point is, people got excited that they would have a lot of announcements and after the show was over, they said, "wait, that's it? Couldn't they have saved the other announcements for E3?". If I could find the threads, I'd post a link but searching for them is a huge pain in the ass.

"Over 20" like that's supposed to be a lot...though I guess many fighting games are going with smaller rosters now for whatever reason.

I can enjoy a lot of the Final Fantasy brand stuff but this one I put down within the hour when playing on my psp.

You also missed Final Fantasy Type 0 and misspelt FFXIV :P

Well add that to the list too. FF fans spoiled this gen.
