Yea
Ah man. I can't keep up with the pace. I will be getting it, but not for a little bit. I just bought Nier Automata today. :)

The PS3 version is better because you can play MP3s as background music and the online is free, but this version has both PS3 games plus the handheld game remastered. The digital artbook is actually a separate app on the PS4 and its pretty good I have to admit. If you don't own any of the WipeOut games this is a definite buy. $40 is a steal. Best racing game for PS4 that I've played for sure. Graphics look improved but don't expect Uncharted 4 level. |
You can play MP3 background music through either the USB Music App or via the Media Player App with a USB drive.
I picked it up and ran through the 2048 season last night. Feels amazing, I think it controls better than the PS3 version, and it looks great in 4K HDR. The loading is almost instant with my Pro + SSD. Going to be fun going through everything again with a new set of trophies to collect. I agree, if you have a PS4 and racing games are your thing, it is a worthy purchse.

The poster above addressed your concern. Alternatively you can play Spotify during the game.

It's a problem all us Playstation gamers have at the moment. I see many titles on sale, I want to buy but then I'm like, I've too many to play already.

Game looks better in motion than these screenshots would imply - But they give you a rough idea:

I bought it today, just played a few stages. Wipeout HD looks exactly as how I remember it from the ps3, I only noticed a slight variation in sound effects. 2048 looks a lot more detailed but still very much like a ps3 game. (I'm playing it on the pro on a 1080p projector) It's very clean thanks to down sampling, however not very high res textures with a plain rendering style. FRN looks much more exciting, if only it had better track design.
Wipeout used to be cutting edge visuals with futuristic designs and modern music. It's none of that anymore. It's still fun to zoom around the tracks, yet after less than an hour it seems my nostalgia itch has already been satisfied. I bought it mainly with the hope of a VR patch later on.
I'll play it some more to see of there's any better music than the few boring tracks I heard tonight. Wipeout HD/Fury had some good tracks, haven't heard them yet.
