i really hope SE would make a remaster version of this great game. For me it was one of the best jrpg i played and enjoyed til the end. Maybe the story got some cuts at the end, but regardless it's one of the best games that was ever released on a playstation console. If SE want to make another remaster of their games, then it should be this one...

I think that will happen eventually. SE can't help be remaster everything.

First they have to remaster FFVIII and FFIX.

Yes, I think they should work with Monolith Soft (with Nintendo's permission) and bring it to the Switch, fulfilling what the second disc should've been, or they can sell the IP to Nintendo for a discount and Takahashi can give us Episode 6! 

isnt xenogears a playstation exclusive? if so why would the remake be a switch exclusive when the majority of fans are ps4 owners.

Because Monolith Soft is the development studio where the key developers of Xenogears work, and the game is pretty much Tetsuya Takahashi's creation. I'd rather see his full artistic vision realized in a remake, and since Monolith Soft is a Nintendo owned studio, it means that it would have to be on Switch. Furthermore, the spirtual successor titles (Xenoblade) are with Nintendo, so an audience is still there for the games. 

edit: Also Square-Enix is a crappy developer/publisher anymore and I don't trust them to not spend a decade on the game. 

They should first master the trilogy. Well, at least its quality. Then they can talk about remastering it.
