Forums - Nintendo - Smash 5's Name?

It's going to be Smash 4 with all the DLC, just like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. They'll probably just mix the 3DS and WiiU exclusive features into one game too.

Now that's just lazy.

It's better than spending 5 years making a new game from stratch with missing characters, missing stages, but largely the same mechanics.

Smash doesn't need a sequel. It's good enough already. The only meaningful thing they can do is add stages and characters, so let them do that to this game. Those 5 years are better spent making something new.

If Smash 4 is any indication, it's going to be a boring and dull title. My guess is 'New Super Smash Bros.'

Switcher Smash Bros.

I'd want it to be named something like Super Smash Bros Ultimate or Ultra, but Nintendo might follow the path of 3DS and Wii U and call it Super Smash Bros for Switch...

Super Smash Bros.

...yea just Super Smash Bros.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I'm guessing either Super Smash Bros. 5, or Super Smash Bros. for Switch. I get the feeling Nintendo will move away from clever subtitles for evergreen titles moving forward, and just focus on the game brand itself.

Super Smash Bros for Nintendo Switch.

I doubt it'll be something like "for Switch", unless it's just a port of the WiiU/3DS Smash because obviously "for"=4 and it was the fourth Smash Bros. The name wouldn't make sense for a fifth entry.

Or Nintendo could just ignore that of course.

I'd like the inevitable port to be called Super Smash Bros. All Stars as it really is the greatest cast of characters ever in a videogame.
