the price is 300,000 won, which is pretty much the same as $300. They tend to charge more because koreans are notorious for pirating games.
currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X
it's probably not a good idea to have big expectations for wii sales in Korea. Half a million would be a big success for a console lifetime in Korea.

another country for wii to takeover ! wait wouldn't they charge less so it would be pirated less ?

Historically you are correct. Koreans love their PCs, but I think the Wii offers something significantly different than PC type games (Wii Sports...) which will make a big difference. I expect it to be nearly as successful there as it is in other markets.
Hopefully Korea will follow Japan's footsteps.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

I dont' think so, I just dont' think it fits in with Korean lifestyle. The DS is very successful because it's something people can do on trains or breaks from school. People just don't spend that munch time at home, and most of their gaming takes place on the road or at a PC bang, the place where you pay per hour to play games. Also Korea's preference in games is competitive games, shooters, strategy games, and MMOS, honestly not something that the Wii excels at.

You may be right, and I'm no Korean expert, but NA was reknown for having a preference for those same game-types (and still does amoungst traditional gamers) but Wii expanded the audience and found huge success. I feel the same is possible for Wii in Korea. Let's face it, (almost) no one expected Wii to succeed in any market for similar reasons originally.
