Quite the contrary, my friend.This is great news.Now you can get to choose to buy the games you like, not pay a subscription to get only a handful that you will play.

The games in the Selection should be a bonus, not the main part of the subscription.

Oops, sorry. I mean that the Selection thing is likely to have a poor quantity of games, whereas the VC will be the meaty service. Both should be just one. Kinda what Nautilus said right above me. 

I forgot who but a youtube channel, I'm guessing game explain, show a chart of what to expect with the service and discounts were indeed on that chart. If you hit the link in the orginal post, to Nintendo's site the chart is on the bottom and it is the forth item, e-shop deals.

I don't get all the whining. Why exactly should the online service be free? It's not free for the provider to maintain said service. Maybe the console itself and the games should be free as well, while you're at it? Why pay for anything?
Besides, it's optional anyways. I don't pay for PSN+ because I only play single player. I can still download games and use different apps and services online. It's fine.

Ah, so there are. That's a relief, at least. They will be needed on a console so dependant of digital distribution (with all those nindies and all). Still angry about the fee, they could have made a subscription service without blocking the multiplayer.
