It was the last post on the now locked thread legend started.  Can anyone confirm this?  Might sound silly but this is the deal breaker for me.  If it is in then I am getting a wii day one mario kart is out else no Wii.  Thanks

I thought one of the main reason it got a 6 from Edge was because there was no GP mode.

It's in, but you can't unlock anything w/ co-op grand prix.

 What do you mean?  In the old mario karts you played grand prix to unlock the next class like you start with 50cc then 100cc and then 150cc.  You saying you can't unlock those or unlock some other crap?  Do you mean co-op as in just racing around maps and not meaning anything?  For those confused co-op grand prix in previous mario karts allowed you to play the single player grand prix with a friend or my case my cousin. It was insanely fun as we worked together especially in the harder classes and lets not bring up the rainbow tracks LOL.  

Yeah people will say well we have 12 player onlines!!! Big whooped when locally you can only do 4 and as far as I know there is no system link.  Also there is no FFA battle like in the old school mario karts.  This is one of my favorite games of all time but lacking features I care about is not enough for me to spend money on a Wii for it.  Not like I can hope for a patch to add things to it like on a 360/PS3 heh. 

It means you can play grand prix w/ other people on or offline on any cc, but you won't unlock anything, like say a new character if you or your partner win.
