Nothing has improved, that video was complete bullshit about some extremelly rare cases. Switch has way less problems than the average console, but some people were really interested on see it failling, good thing they have no power at all as much as they try.

That video is definatly overblown, after watching you will think that Switch is unusable, but to be fair some people really had left Joy Con issue and some (even smaller number) had problem with bended dock, while fact is that majority people didnt had any problem, but it seems that no one have any of those problems with newer Switch. In other words, those Switch problems were usually launch problems.

I mean nothing has improved significantly, now they put a piece of aluminium on the joycon to make it work better and maybe they are slightly more strict with the quality tests but the ratio of switch with issues was very low even at launch, that video was a complete overblown that some people were very interested on spread all around internet, that's why it has 10m visits when a similar video about both ps4 and XBO problems have only a fraction of that.

Agree, it was totally overblown, I remember people asking if Nintendo will call back all Switch until they resolve all those "serious problems", lol. It seems that only some specific factories were produced Joy Con that caused problem or Dock that could bent, but Nintendo fixed those problems moment they were aware about that.
