This was expected, but even as a new age Fire Emblem fan I'm not a fan of putting so much focus on Awakening and Fates. Then again, this does make Kaze and Elise being playable more likely, so if that happens then I'm all for it lol.

I know next to nothing about Fire Emblem but even i know who Ike is thanks to Smash. Even with my limited knowledge i get the impression Ike is the most popular FE character. To me, it seems foolish to leave him out but what do i know?

I absoluteky want Roy, Ike and Lyn to be on the principal roster, I mean, they're too iconic to just be left out like that.

They did say most of the characters will be from SD, Awakening, and Fates, not all. So there is still the possibility of Ike, Lyn, Roy, and whomever to join the initial roster or DLC down the line.

I personally don't care which Fire Emblem game characters they choose. It wasn't like Hyrule Warriors story was mind blowing (still haven't finished the game but I wasn't impressed nor did I care about the story). I'd be buying this game for the action not the story just like I buy regular Fire Emblem games for the strategy over story. You can crucify me now.

If the DLC is like for the original Hyrule Warriors, then there shouldn't be a problem aside from a few costumes. The DLC that was added with Hyrule Warriors Legends was lame though.

True if it follows Warriors, but on the other hand, it might follow Fire Emblem instead. Awakening made a lot of money with DLC. And now with the microtransactions in the mobile game...it's not like Fire Emblem fans aren't used to it.

Actually, the only thing I copy-pasted were the bullet points, because that was a better summary than I could have done, and those are the points being mentioned from other sources. The rest was a summary from me :D

To crucify you for that would be hypocritical. Most Nintendo fans share the mindset of gameplay being most important, I mean they have to since most Nintendo games have little to no story.
