GTA 4 graphics are very good, not the best. But Gta 4 isn't about grahics

Oh cry me a river. Gran Turismo: Prologue looks almost photorealistic (the cars definitely do)
Asssassin's Creed rendered the most beautiful cities imaginable.
Ratchet&Clank can compete with any Pixar movie.
The face animations in Heavenly Sword are sublime.
Call of Duty4, Uncharted look finally like movies you play themselves.

And you complain about current gen graphics and that you were promised more? I do not know what you expected but perhaps you should play a PS2 game again and make a comparison.

So, all the graphics-junkies are forgiving not-so-awesome graphics because of content and gameplay? Ok, I'll bookmark this thread for future graphics-bashing posts.

And, this is done by Rockstar. Did you really expect great graphics? If the game had been developed by... let's say, Valve, the complaint would have more value.

GTA IV seems to be more about having lots of stuff running around in a convincing manner, rather than having the maximum amount of pixels per square penis.

I'm not interested in the game itself, but definitely like this aspect of the philosophy behind it.

Who cares about the graphics, I am more worried about the horrible framerate every video has.
