Beta test to be held from July 19 to August 10.

Dragon Quest X will launch for PlayStation 4 on August 17 and Switch on September 21 in Japan, Square Enix announced.

Each version of the game will be priced at 4,800 yen and ship as the “All In One Package” edition, which includes the Versions 1, Version 2, and Version 3 updates of the massively multiplayer online RPG.

PS4 Monthly Subscription is 1500 yen for 5 characters and Switch Monthly Subscription is 1000 yen for 3 Characters or 1500 yen for 5 Characters.

A beta test for the PlayStation 4 and Switch versions will be held from July 19 to August 10. Interested users can apply here.

Switch version it is... seriously if you have both consoles getting it for the switch is a no brainer.

I'd pick the PS4 just cause of the trophies and probably better performance, and I own both consoles.

probably ps4 will have best performance and visuals but switch have portability and is a cheaper version (1000 yen monthly option and dont need online subscription like ps plus yet).

personally i prefer the pc version like ffxiv so this depends of the people.

I go for the Xone Version, No subscription to pay and no Game = money saved.

Will this even get a Western Release?

If FFXIV (or every subscription-based MMOs on PS4) is anything to go by  you don't need PS Plus.
