So less than half of PS4 sales.

I mean... just wait till the Nintendo Subscriber numbers come out if you want to throw shade. It'll be a lot easier to turn that news into a negative, but I expect you won't want to there. This is the highest subscribers to this kind of service ever.

Excellent number of subcribers and growth, that's a huge amount of revenue.

Cool little buzz word there. "Shade" huh? So hip. Anyway...

I never said it was negative. I just said it. I have no idea if 45% (or whatever the actual percentage is) is good or not because I have no idea what everyone else has/had. The lesson here? Don't assume everyone on the internet has a slant or angle. Most do. Some don't.

unfortunately, Sony is making tons of money from PS Plus and giving us crappy games. This really sucks compared to PS3 era when they offered +AAA games almost all time when PS3 was losing badly.

PS Plus has become an indie heaven... I wish we can do online gaming for free or for a lower fee.

Negative throw-away comments with no substance is a classic response. That was the only thing you had to say.

My personal favorites are those that say "This is bad" without explaining that opinion, even when asked to elaborate.

there is an interesting question, that is.

Could it be that the XOne has more active online gamers then the ps4 with half of the userbase?

I think yes!

Errr... No? Microsoft dont give out Gold Subscriber numbers for a reason, the same reason they don't give out XBO sales numbers.

Proportionally gold subscriptions for XBO will be higher, but not by anywhere near enough.

Someone is very defensive ... Pointing out facts really seems to trigger something.

@Frank_kc
It was obvious from the get go that the AAA games in the beginning were only a temporary thing to sell the then still new PS+ service to customers and pull as many into the service as possible, since online gaming was still free on PS3. When you are in a comfortable position such as now, alot of people continue out of habit renewing the service, despite not beeing as happy with the offered games as in the past.

if i look at the last time they give out numbers Xone had a 90% xbl gold attach rate.

that means:

~27 million gold subscribers on XOne vs. 26.4 on ps4/ps3

Source? Then I'll use your point of stating that those subscribers also contain users from past generation so stating 90% attach rate is ludicrous as your figures are no doubt much older when past generation was actually a relevant consideration. How many people do you really think are subscribing to PS+/GOLD to play on PS3/360 in 2017?

I mean... this just highlights your hypocrisy and bias, not XBO/360? But PS4/PS3? xD

26.4*$5=$132M/month

The ratio of PS+ subs has stood the same since the last time they reported it I believe back in 2015 or so. It was also around 50%.

Yes, Xbox Live has 1 billion paying users!

MS is so good with their reporting, people believe their Xbox Live Silver users are all paying.

Real number of Gold users is probably 10 million at best, and shrinking. The casual online CoD/Fifa crowd is on PS4 and moving to PS4.
