It's about time they made that game free. No one was going to pay for that. Being free though there are more important games for me to play. To whoever gets it, enjoy.

competition breeds innovation and the weak get weeded out, unless you're a multi billion dollar corporation who can take the damaging blows of failure. Many people want Microsoft to do well, because it works out well for all of us in the end. Criticism can be constructive, you know.

Sure, I get that. I've criticized Xbox many, many times over the last four years.
But do folks really need to mock Xbox or disparage this re-release? It's a free game.

This could be a way for MS to gauge interest in the game and see if a Sequel is worth a bigger budget. Watching a stream of the game it did not look like it aged well but I will judge the gameplay more than the graphics.

Is it not tied by name and style to a failed development venture when Microsoft sought to resurface it?

Microsoft was already developing the reboot for the game and the development as far as we know failed. It doesn't seem like there is anything left to gauge.

I guess...seems like a stretch. I mean, you could use similar logic to complain about anything.
Wipeout Omega Collection? Pfft! Just reminds me about how Sony closed Liverpool.
Breath of the Wild? Gimme a break! Nintendo promised it years ago!
I think we should just be grateful for the good things that arrive, and not look for reasons to be sour.

I know all about the reboot and the story behind it. As far as the reboot that may be dead and gone but a sequel would be something different. I am sure MS would love to take a risk if they knew they had a decent audience to sell to.
Downloaded it, played 4 or 5 missions and one MP match. It was fun.
