But isn't the Switch easy to port for?
Anyway, Sony should have funded it if they can build the game with 1M.

Would probably be called for being "the same thing" tho, kickstartER make it looks like it's more of an original project because the dev is a great guy xP

There's an issue with that though. Sony would have most likely wanted something for that 1m. And given their history I'd expect they'd require IP ownership too. And why would the guy doing this be willing to give that up? If anything it's likely the main reason he's doing this game rather than sitting around, twiddling his thumbs and hoping that one day Sony are like "yo, we want another Parappa game".

Quite likely. Either that or they would have wanted full console exclusivity with the deal. Any kind of fnding deal always, always ends with the dealer wanting something that gives them that edge.

The strech goals are a bit ridiculous, espesially with the Switch version being at $5,000,000. You'd think with such a japanese style game they'd be looking to be more after the Japanese market, which prioritising the Xbox One version over it, isn't going to do.

They just want to ensure that it'll never come out for the XB1 and Switch, because they'll never reach that stretch goal!

Yes. Good chip set and a API based on OpenGL & Vulkan. For UE4 games you only need to press a single button to get them running before optimization. Snake pass took a single weekto fully get working on Switch.

On top of that dev kits are the cheapest around by far.

Six levels a game you finish in a hour ?

Or like manu other games it would also land on PC just as well, exactly as is the main funding goal, and they are asking 3x and 5x for putting the game on XBO and Switch.

Unless this turn to be a major success it'll be a PS4/PC game anyway.

It wouldn't always be completely guaranteed to land on PC. It would still be better for the devs if the other platforms were within their reach and complete allowance to as well.

They should tune their goals for the X1 and Switch though, rather than asking for more and more.

From the funding goals you can see it was always meant to be a PS4/PC game, and the other platforms are there just in case they pull a major winner like some other kickstarter projects from devs with loved games and make a big profit.

To me that's all there is to it, trying to pull a lucky winner there, it would always be a PS4/PC game.

It depends on whether or not they meet those other goals, if not then "it was meant to be a PC/PS4" game. To me it's still an undetermined project, one that has yet to meet it's goals.

I'd still rather it be a KS project than a console published one with chances of it being held as exclusive, even after goals being met.

Backed. I have had only good luck with Kickstarters thus far. I need to dig out my copy of a
Gitaroo Man now...

Huh, and I thought it was a game already in development for the PS4. I didn't know it would be a kickstarter game. It looks interesting, so hopefully it gets funded. Not sure if I'm down with the MC's design though. I'd probably do a little tweaking myself.

I do find it strange that a Switch version is such a high goal, especially compared with an XBO version. I feel it would fit better on the Switch than on XBO honestly.

Probably because it's a lot easier and cheaper to port to the x1.

Perhaps, though there has been word from various devs on how rather easy it is to port things to the Switch, and I feel there is more potential to be had on the Switch than XBO.

Considering that, in theory, this is not a very complicated game to port (it's a rythm game) the Switch stretchgoal is way overpriced. It should be closer to the XBOne stretchgoal.

I think its been done on purpose so that backers keep pushing to that goal, since it is, in mz opinion, far more desirable than the XOne version.

Wont happen though, not unless its a major success before Switch fans get involved. Seems like most of us were immediately put off backing this game when we saw the near $5m goal.
