Stuart Whyte has signed up to Sony’s London Studio, GamesIndustry.biz reports. Whyte will serve as Director of VR Product Development at the studio, which is known for creating PSVR launch minigame compilation, PlayStation VR Worlds. The role is newly created, though London Studio itself recently lost its own Director, Dave Ranyard, who went on to form his own indie team working with VR content. Whyte previously worked directly for Microsoft as Chief Publishing Officer.

Whyte told GamesIndustry.biz that he aimed to lead the London studio to become “the world’s leading AAA, VR Team.”

A new Fable in VR would be lovely, yet that's out of the question. But good to see more people working on VR titles.

Around the Network

I think it would be interesting to see them work on a cartoonish rpg in VR, though I don't think that they're going to be making a game like that just because he's joined the team.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

No. Get someone good. They should be getting someone who can make a killer app.

maybe new VR-RPG?

Milo PS4 Gigaton incoming.
