Switch is killing it.

With Mario Kart at the end of the month, it should have a big boost at some point. So probably more like: 90k - 75k - 50k - 100k - 70k |
but however you add that up its higher than ndp have stated, i posted 5 numbers the first being the last reported week on vgc for NA, since your first isnt 104k i assume youre going slightly into may.
90+75+50+100 is 315k, we already know they only sold 280k so your estimate is 35k over in total.
also you need to keep in mind you cant have a big sales boost if the stock for that boost isnt on shelves (which it totally isnt right now)

Nope, MK8 is first. But it's probable Persone 5 comes in second, with Breath of the Wild taking the third spot of the podium |
Wouldn't it indicate that Mario Kart WASN'T first, since Nintendo didn't specifically mention that? Or was that part of the statement just not included in the OP?

From the OP: The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game was the top-selling video game in April with more than 460,000 physical units sold. With digital sales added, the total is more than 550,000 units.
So clearly MK8DX is number 1
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game for Nintendo Switch continued its legendary run, coming in as the third-highest-selling video game in April.
So BotW is also set on the third spot.
This puts Persona 5 sales either between MK8DX and BotW, or even worse than Zelda (with MLB: The Show as possible second)
Looking at VGC numbers for the first two weeks of April, I'm guessing Persona is #2.
I was wondering whether NPD counted digital sales for Mario Kart, but I doubt Persona hit 460k anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter. 20% digital seems pretty good for Nintendo though.

I think XB1 barely did 100k this month in the US, probably closer to 250k PS4. May is looking to be a repeat of april. |
Hey, looks like our predictions were pretty accurate.

Oh muh bad:( I didn't read the full PR report, and it wasn't written in the summary initially. Thanks!

Splatoon might have a Mario Kart-like sales trajectory - sells way more on a good-selling system than a bad one - but I'm not going to count on that. The sales on Wii U were impressive but the system wasn't exactly flush with great games.
Edit: got myself an education! Looks like Splatoon 2 should at least ensure good sales in Japan through summer. Still not sure what it will do outside Japan.
So no word on ps4 sales?
