If you don't have a lot of friends over to play it all the time, it probably won't be worth as much to you. The online isn't particularly great as of now.
Hate to break it to you, but the online isn't getting any better. All you're doing is connecting to other players, not to Nintendo themselves, so they can't make online any better than it is now.  Anyway OT, like others have said no game can please everyone. I could care less for Gran Turismo 5, i hate racing simulators, but I understand it's polish and appeal. At least you're not saying it's a bad game (that I would have to argue), but you're entitled to not like it.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I really don't like the game either. I grew board of it after 30minutes. That's a lot better than growing board of Melee after the first match though. (doesn't mean I only played one match) so it is taking a step in the right direction.

^BTW SSB on 64 is what I based both games off of. My main character was Jigglypuff. People get pissed when loosing to the worst character in the game.

I mean with the absence of voice chat, horrendous lag, etc.

I never liked Melee, but I did like Brawl a lot better.
That said, I do feel that there are other Nintendo franchises I'd rather spend my time on (Zelda, Mario Kart, Mario platformers).

If you don't like Brawl then you just fail. As Neos said, send your copy to us europeans.

*Sigh* Opinions like these are just silly. Not everyone is going to like every game. There's nothing wrong with the original poster not liking Smash Brothers. It's not that "he doesn't understand it" or "he needs to spend more time playing it", he probably just isn't interested. And that's OK! The one thing I can't stand is when posters assume that everyone MUST share their own opinions, and it's simply IMPOSSIBLE for anyone not to like the games that they like.

For example, I think that Kingdom Hearts II was one of the biggest piles of garbage I've ever played, while Soriku and leo-j think it's the greatest thing ever. It's OK that we have different opinions. (For that matter, can everyone please stop saying that Ocarina of Time is the best ever just because it has the highest metacritic rating, OK? It's a fine game, but it's not even in my top 5... top 5 N64 games, that is...)

That's a common mis conception. Really depends on the 4 people.

I've had an arogant f*ck who thought he was the best at the game and a whinny b*tch who cried about everything that happened.

needless it isn't any fun with them

Can't people be more tolerant of other people's opinions.

Not every game is liked by everyone, even the most popular games.

everyone is entitled to their own opinion, none of us should be offended if he doesn't like the game
