Borrowed the original on NES but never beat it. At least, I don't think I did. Played the demo a few days ago. After about five minutes, I deleted that shit.
Then, immediately purchased the full game! It's awesome!

I own Blaster Master: Blasting Again for the PS1, and I remember playing that game as a kid. I never played the NES game, though. This one looks really cool, though!

I think the music is fantastic, it defiantely feels like Sunsoft music to me. They were the best in business back in the day.
Other than that I do agree that the game is rather easy but still very enjoyable. |
I agree that Sunsoft were one of the best in the business. But I disagree that this music gives off any kind of sunsoft vibe, other than the music in Area 1, which is taken directly from the original game anyways. Sunsoft music always sounded more "rock" than the music in this new game. When I look back fondly, I look back to games like Batman, Blaster Master, Fester's Quest, and Journey to Silius. But like I said, it's not a huge deal. Just a bit disappointing when I look back on the original Blaster Master with as much love for the music as I do the gameplay.

I think this is just something to be expected given how difficult games used to be. I read a few reviews that listed "difficulty" as a negative for the recent Dragon Boy game, and it's a cakewalk compared to the original. |
I was just hoping that this game would be following the trends set by games like Shovel Knight and whatnot. I've even read one review where it being too easy was a negative.
I love the music as well especially area 6

Let's agree to disagree.
To me, several of the tracks absolutely has the sunsoft beat. Especially the Underworld tracks, they could both fit on pretty much any Sunsoft game IMO :>
It looks pretty neat, but I never really got into Mega Man and these types of games so not completely sold on this

Yeah, music is subjective. The aspects that made things "Sunsoft" for me, may not be the aspect that made things "Sunsoft" for you. And I haven't been to the underworld yet, so who knows?
Finished it recently and enjoyed it a lot. I think I'll be replaying it every once in a while just for fun.

You should do that with the additional DLC characters.
