It would be a win-win situation not only for both coutries but also for the rest of the world. If talking to Russia is against the law, that law needs to be changed. |
The issue Americans have is whether another country has influence over their own government's actions which is a very legitimate concern and not the same as getting along with them. The investigation against the Trump administration is that Russia may have some influence over them which could compromise US policies.
Having no skin in this game, I just find it hilarious how hypocritical both sides are being. First, the left hated him for investigating the Hillary email scandal, while the right loved him. Then, the left loved him for letting Hillary off the hook, while the right hated him (I will say it was ridiculous she got away with it, when a normal citizen would be in jail, now.) Then, he released the statement about finding more evidence in Anthony Weiner's emails, so the left went back to hating him and the right loved him. Now, they've switched sides, again, just because one side hates Trump no matter what he does.
What's really funny is not only how hypocritical people are being, but also how ingenious they are. Make no mistake, if Hillary had won, she would have fired him, too. Mainly for revenge. But also because he seemed to actually be doing his job, plus speaking truth to power. And guess what, the left would have supported it 100%, while the right would be bringing up Nixon. You people have chosen sides and will support it no matter what. Your guy is a rich slimeball like the other guy, both using the system to get rich on the taxpayer's dollar? Well, just ignore it, or come up with shitty excuses why one isn't as bad as the other. It's why Washington is so corrupt right now. It's exactly what George Washington warned us about forming parties.
And the normal American can't even keep up with what their party wants. When Stephen Colbert reported this, his audience cheered. That's because up until that point, their party was telling them they hated Comey and he should be fired. But, since they figured they could make some political points with this, now they no longer hate him. Colbert had to correct his audience like a bunch of trained monkeys, calling them Trump supporters and then bringing up Sessions, a man they've been trained to automatically hate.
Completely pathetic on both sides.

Seriously, if you want to bury your head in the sand do so and own it. Don't use it as an excuse to say that the other kids do it as well.
Dems were mad at Comey for botching Clinton's case. His last testimony showed how incompetently it was managed; FBI had to send a letter to rectify Comey's incorrect testimony of Huma & Weiner's e-mail case. A gross mistake that could've costed anyone their career in the IC. There was no reason for the case to be re-opened a week before elctions.
Comey's firing on the other hand, has nothing to do with e-mail's case.

Lol, and a bunch of people come to prove my point. Poor excuses to why their side isn't as bad, knowing full well that if Hillary won they would fully support her firing him. Even if he was still investigating her emails. Both sides are just freaking pathetic on this.

If you actually knew what you're talking about, you would realize that there is nothing hypocritical about the current accusations.
| Hiku said: Worth noting on that timeline is that Sessions also praised how Comey handled Clinton, before suddenly recommending to fire him because of that. Their explanation just doesn't make any sense. If they did it because they wanted to adhere to the critics, they would have done it right after Trump got into office. Not after Comey announced that there is an ongoing investigation that he is heading about Trump's ties to Russia, and asking for more funding for that investigation. |
To add to this, Trump is now insisting that he planned to fire Comey regardless of what the Attorney General or Deputy Attorney General had recommended, it was his idea, etc, etc. So at this point we can pretty safely set aside any matter of the motivations of either Sessions or whats-his-name Deputy fella, because Trump is officially taking full credit/blame for the decision.

Why wasn't he fired under Obama?

How about you use facts instead of what if scenarios to make a point?
