So, Spla2n over ARMS in Japan (by a wide margin), Germany, and ARMS over Spla2n in north America, rest of Europe.

Can also be explained culturally, kind of? Arms has a comic-book-hero feel, and involves colourful fighting (think wrestling, or lucha libre), so it's more popular in America.

Splatoon is squids, and got a manga, so Japan...

I have slight trouble trying to understand what you're asking, but I'll take a shot at it.

Those new switches - are up for grab switches. Infact I grabbed one yesterday.

Two suggestions for getting one. 1) Follow the twitter account cheap ass gamer. They tweet out when switches are available. The last ones lasted at least 30 minutes or so.

You can create a free account, and customized your warnings and alerts. Infact it was an audio alert that told me the switches were back in stock.

Last year the Xbox One was in the top100 lists on amazon.

This year, things are slower sales wise.

case in point (atm):

Switch #12 & #13,  PS4 #17, Xbox One #144.

 

If there is 350k hardware out there (mixed between PS4 & XB1), Im thinking the larger portion belongs to the PS4.

Also YES, the Xbox One this april is probably down from last years april by a large amount.

I think it's just because Arms releases earlier. I would bet that Spla2n outsells it in America as well, it's just that games tend to receive a rush in preorders A:) when they're first announced, B:) when a deluge of videos, previews or betas release, and C:) when they get close to release. But yeah, even though I think Splatoon will outsell Arms in most countries, it is definitely going to be most popular in Japan. They went apeshit over the first one.
