I think that unfortunately, piracy is going to be an inevitable topic in regards to emulation. Some people automatically think of it when it comes up, and it will be hard to condition them to think otherwise.

I know, but you went on to mention that it is piracy, which technically lends itself to all emu threads in general, so you would be calling all emu threads as "piracy" talks. Also if this is a complaint thread, does that mean you're complaining against threads talking about emulation, while also citing them as piracy talks?. 

Not calling you an "anti piracy warrior" btw either.

Perhaps they are not busy enough in their life and need to do that lol.

For me i did read the zelda threads with the 4K emulation and new highe res texture packs and TBH i was impressed at what was acheived and kind of wish the Switch was more powerful lol. 

Those people have to get it out of their heads and stop jumping into said emu threads and derailing them on purpose. All they do is steer it completely off course and instead into a topic that is then made to look dirty and the group talking about emulation in general.

It should be obvious, emulation without owning the software is piracy. Emulation with owning the software is just emulation, that's the way it has always been even since NESticle. I own BOTW on my Wii U, but yeah I use Cemu because you can increase the resolution of the game, tinker around with some code, etc. etc.

I will also note that people who pirate aren't customers anyway, they weren't going to buy it no matter what, so we can't count them with the potential sales of a piece of software. There is a minor percentage of pirates that buy the game eventually. If people have such malice towards pirates, maybe they should become a software engineer and combat pirates rather than complaining to people that don't really care.

nah i couldn't care less. basically im just saying people know what it is, so why derail everytime an emulation thread comes up. it's lke those religious threads or political threads that resurface every 6months. same arguements over and over when there is no need. 

i have no objection to this thread as i think its a valid complaint.

XB360 BC = Emulation

I stopped going into EMU threads a long time ago(minus this one lol)..even tho I do think EMU is piracy just people trying to spin it. So are Repros and I own 2 so there is that. I know going into those threads will only get me banned and I am likely on a leash as long as a nats dick. I don't like emus so I don't normally post in them. I feel also when posting about like say a game that just came out say for instance Zelda Botw. I wish people would not talk about emulating it in a thread where people bought the game.
