Getting to Wii/ps1 is probably another two years after that, so early 2021, ps5 will certainly already be out by then, maybe for over a year at that time. If the PS4 only meets Sony's expectations, which I fully expect them to adjust up later, the PS4 will be at 78M by April 2018.  Let's say it drops another 2M, that would put it at 94M by April 2019.  Even if the PS4 drops another 4M because of a possible PS5 launch, it'll still be at 106M by April 2020.

See above.  Wii is guaranteed, barring something big that effects the market.  PS2, on the other hand, is a bit of a stretch.

Yeah, especially when at the end of the day it's all going to flip on it's head. Wii is highest launch aligned, and is going to end up at the bottom, just like PS2 will end up at the top, complete reversal. xD

Current Launch Aligned:

1. Wii
2. PS4
3. PS2

But at the end of the day it'll be:

1. PS2
2. PS4
3. Wii

That's not true, PS4 has similar launch like Wii, but Wii later had better sales later, Wii start noticibly slowing with sales around 4. year on market, thats why Wii ended on 101.5m.

I said in my post that launch aligned Wii is ahead of PS4. My post is saying that eventually PS4 will overtake Wii in sales, so where the 3 consoles are currently in launch aligned is basically the opposite of where they'll end up when they reach the end of their life.

I misunderstood you, yes PS4 most likely overtaking Wii in 2019/2020.

The PS4 Pro release was done by Sony to ensure it manages to stay until 2020. I'm one hundred percent the earliest is spring 2020

this might be the last quarter that PS4 is ahead of PS2 in shipments though - it will fall behind considerably from now on, but should outdo PS1/Wii in the end
