Apparently in Nov 2013, EA said they were working on a new C&C with a new studio at the helm, but since then EA haven't said anything about it since. it's now 2017 and still no word, so they have likely canned it by now if anything.

Ah well atleast company of heroes is still available through stream, and COH is 10 times better then C&C, easily the best RTS I have ever played much better then it's sequel, and better then any previous RTS ( IMHO, and most reviewers 😉)

coherent ?

CoH is more of a squad based Strategy game, while C&C is more a traditional base building and resource management RTS.

Yeah the rifleman Come in squads but it's still a Base building game where control of resources ( fuel, manpower and ammunitions) is critical. Coherent = Coh bloody auto correct.

I loved C&C, warcraft, Starcraft, AoE etc but for me, Coh is top dog, especially in 4v4 pvp.

It's not entirely in the exact same vein as C&C is though.

For me it's still the older titles. SCII being the latest one for me.

I've never played any of the C&C games, though I'd like the play the first one. I really like this song:

One of the best game series ever made, together with Dune. I definitely would help kickstarting a spiritual successor, especially if it goes back to the roots like Yooka-Laylee.

Frank Klepacki's songs were something else back then and still are now

He even performaed hell March with a live orchestra.

(he's the one wearing the Soviet attire)

Damn I totally forgot about Dune. It'd be nice if someone were to bring that back from the dead as well.
