You must have missed the part where he said the 24hours was just the main mission. "I'd say to wrap up the story will take at least 40 hours at a normal pace, plus another – say, 25? – to wrap up the remainder of the missions. "
Well he makes this game sound very good, looks like a huge critical sucess certainly.

The story missions in San Andreas only take up 25-30 hours. That's about how long it took me on my second playthrough. The first time round it probably took 3x that long.

The guy saying Vice City was the best suggests that he is more interested in style over substance. VC was definitely the coolest of the lot due to the retro '80s aesthetics, but SA was the best due to the hundreds of gameplay tweaks. But either way, they are all awesome and it sounds like 4 is no exception. Booya!!!
I want this game now!!! and if I get a 360 later this year, I may have to buy it for that as well, and play it through just for the extra content, this game is going to be amazing, I just hope they don't ruin it by putting in stealth missions

I feel the same way, I hope all this hype doesn't ruin the game if it's good but doesn't live up to the sky-high expectations.

Well and Spore. Spore probably will end up with a large share of GOTY awards. Spore i think will be bigger then any of the games listed in your post. Thoguh it may not be hardcore enough to win a majority of GOTY awards.

And with some luck, Starcraft 2 which would probably get me to forget my consoles for a few weeks at least. I hope it comes out in 2008.
