So I finished Horizon ZD yesterday and i can safely say its easily my favorite ps4 game. Now ive finished it, naturally it has got me thinking about the story and possible sequels. If gamers  took the time to read all the colectable data files/holograms and audio recordings you'll realise that there's actually a deep story to the whole lore of the game.
Guerilla games are really happy with the sales and are hard at work on a DLC expansion. But what do we want from it? (or possible sequels/spinoffs) dont get me wrong ill be happy to continue Aloys story infact i definitely want to be playing as Aloy once again. But theres also a massive oppunity for a spinoff to play as a civilian caught up in the faro plague and to witness what it was like in the 15 months from the beginning of the glitch in the machines, to being armed for Operation: enduring Victory and then slowly finding out that O:EV was all a lie and just a plan to slow down the inevitable apocalyse for a more complex post-apocalyse plan in project:Zero dawn. I also think it would be good to meet the Alphas and obviously Elisabet Solbeck as a beta or gamma member of project:zero dawn.
i think guerrilla games have loads of options to keep this franchise going for a long long time and also plan doing so, there admitted they have loved creating this new world and story and thery wont be stopping with just this game and exspansion.

i cant imagine a main Horizon game without Aloy. and honestly id be really disappointed if that happens.

as for a sin off. i would love a third person action adventure game. Horizon: Enduring Victory. a story of some soldiers in the enduring victory battles. how they push against the Faro Robots, with grim and dark outlook, knowing their ultimate fate, but hoping to achieve success, the success being buying enough time for Zero Dawn to finish. it would be a dark and gritty game and story. but i think it would be an epic game.

I also want there to be an Aloy return and I'm confident the writers at guerrilla can come up with something worth doing and just as engrossing. But there's no doubting there is a lot they can do with history of the story, the faro plague and the creating of project Zero Dawn.

Idk why but I initially read that as "third person party game". And now I cant stop imagining a Mario Party style HZD spin-off v.v XD

I'd like a sequel, but i'm not too fussed whether it focuses on Aloy or not. While i liked her personality, the way she's structured as a character made me enjoy the story less. They try hard to set a tone of growing urgency, but Aloy is so good at absolutely everything that i never felt like there was really in much danger. She's even amazing at things the story actively sets up against her.

Aloy will almost certainly be the protagonist in a sequel, but i'm hoping they give Sylens a chance to shine in the expansion. He was my favourite character by far.

I actually think that could make for a really cool First Person Shooter. Have it take place during the fall of mankind and have the player be one of the supersoldiers that wore that special armor.

They could even just call it Operation Enduring Victory.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I want (and expect) the inevitable sequel to still be about Aloy. There's certainly more of her story to tell. I'd love for them to flesh out some of the other tribes more and I'd like to get to see their homelands more.

Playing during the Faro Plague would be cool, but maybe a bit too similar in tone to last gens Resistance franchise.
