xenosaga part 2 got mediocre reviews because the gameplay was lowered from the 1st! sales dropped and they clipped a 6 part game into a 3 part I believe.

That was a story based game that was way more linear then mass effect.

Mass effect has to be as good story wise and character wise in part 2 to help with part 3 which shouldnt be a problem.

if it goes to PS3 like oblivion who cares! MGS2 hit both! that would be like saying the 360 wouldnt want MGS4. bring it.

I just hope they work out the framerate and pop-in issues for the sequels. Then again that won't matter to me much cause I'll be buying them all on PC where I won't have that problem. ^_^ (though I hope 2 and 3 aren't delayed quite as long)

 Mass Effect 2 will appear in 2009. Mass Effect 3 will appear in 2011

What does a MonkeY have to do with making a trilogy? Thats just ludacrus =P Unless Bioware employees were promised pet monkeys as a reward, then I can deffinately see the reason.

Too Human looks good, too bad it'll never be on the PS3, and I don't see Mass Effect really heading to the PS3 as well. Least i have my PC for that.

They do with the original Mass Effect.  It is ME2 and ME3 where the water gets murky.  The speculation is that Microsoft traded publishing rights to ME1 on PC to EA in return for ME2 and ME3 exclusivity.  It is likely that some money would have to have changed hands to make such a deal worthwhile to EA.

But at the end of the day, given the cohesive nature of the trilogy, if EA couldn't have the first title on PS3, it would be in their interest to look to Microsoft for a deal on the second and third titles. 

It seems sensible to plan it out as a trilogy, they will work better rather than two seqeuls.
