It lacks the big hitters it had through this winter until the release of Persona 5 early april to keep up the sales after that for the following months. It will not drop too far, but 180k-200k weekly are definitly in the realm of possible until bigger games come out again at the end of summer.

Damn, Sony knocked it out the park this gen with the PS4, the console slays all comers, must be so demoralizing for the competition.

XBOX ONE is selling well.

I don't know where you are getting that impression from. As it stands the PS4 has basically been selling 1M consoles a month this year..... thing is, thats exactly what it was selling last year too. Some months it may be 100k higher others it may be 100k lower. Its is scaringly impressive how predictable the PS4 sales has been since its launch.

If it continues at this pace it would have sold 10M consoles by the end of october this year. And we all know how fall sales usually are. It doesn't have to have 4 record breaking months. It just needs to sell around 10M by october and then another 7-8M in november and december; which is pretty much what it has been doing and is currently on track to do.

For refernce, week of 14th march 2016 PS4 did around 300k, around the same wek in 2015 it did around 250k. 11th march 2017 it did around 250k. There is nothing about those numbers that suggest it needs to do 4 record breaking months.

Even though they are multiplatform, and that the scorpio would have the best versions of those games. PS4 still has the marketing deals for all of them and likely the bundles. PS4 is still the most powerful "1080p" console which also happens to be the cheaper and more popular console as opposed to the higher tier or premium consoles. Not a lot of people that has waited this long to buy a console this gen is going to suddenly jump in and go or the most expensive consoles. 

Yeah Nintendo must be super demoralized with their best console launch ever and selling the same as ps4 on the 2nd week despite the heavy supply constrains.

You think that If Mario Kart wasn't coming Switch sales would be dead soon??? The system is still sold out worldwide and Mario Kart is hitting in 13 days! It'll might still be sold out when Mario Kart launches, which means the sold out period will last even longer. I don't think Mario Kart will be that huge initially since it is just a re-released Wii U game, but still it's gonna sell plenty of consoles. The weekly numbers for Switch are entirely dependent on how many Nintendo can make. Switch's number in comparison to PS4 mean nothing right now since Switch is sold out. There are still probably millions of people trying to get a switch RIGHT NOW, which means those people will be picking it up in April/May/June as they become available, along with the people who are waiting until May/June to look for one. Don't be surprised if it is still hard to find a Switch out in the wild until June. This summer Switch may be selling less than PS4 as I don't know what is coming between Splatoon 2 and the holidays, but I'd expect Switch to be between Xbone and PS4 for the summer/fall if there aren't any huge games coming, and that is far from being dead.

Damn Ps4 and Switch are absolute monsters.

The 3DS is doing quite well, considering it's already six years old and it's about to be replaced by its successor.

The stock issues were temporarily fixed with the release of New 3ds xl pikachu edition on the 24th of february, which skyrocketed the hardware sales ( vgc sadly missed that ) , and of course it  sold out fast, which was obvious from the overly high pre-orders...

I see PS4 back on top... lol i was not expecting to see that so soon.
